An uplink synchronised CDMA system through transmission timing control at mobile users has been proposed to improve the uplink capacity. This Letter mathematically investigates its capacity, considering perfect fast TPC and two antenna diversity reception in a single cell environment and compares it with that of a conventional CDMA system.

A direct-conversion receiver with a full digital logic FSK demodulator is presented. It is developed from the quadricorrelator which is known as a frequency detector. We show that the performance of the receiver converges to that of the analog quadricorrelator receiver as the number of mixing axes increases, and obtain the optimum filter bandwidth by computer simulation.

This paper presents a new learning method to improve noise tolerance in Fuzzy ART. The two weight vectors: the top-down weight vector and the bottom-up weight vector are differently updated by a weighted sum and a fuzzy AND operation. This method effectively resolves the category proliferation problem without increasing the training epochs in noisy environments.
