In quasi-synchronous FH multiple-access (QS-FHMA) systems, no-hit-zone frequency-hopping sequences (NHZ-FHSs) can offer interference-free FHMA performance. But, outside the no-hit-zone (NHZ), the Hamming correlation of traditional NHZ-FHZs maybe so large that the performance becomes not good. And in high-speed mobile environment, Doppler shift phenomenon will appear. In order to ensure the performance of FHMA, it is necessary to study the NHZ-FHSs in the presence of transmission delay and frequency offset. In this paper, We derive a lower bound on the maximum time-frequency two-dimensional Hamming correlation outside of the NHZ of NHZ-FHSs. The Zeng-Zhou-Liu-Liu bound is a particular situation of the new bound for frequency shift is zero.

In frequency hopping communication, time delay and Doppler shift incur interference. With the escalating upgrading of complicated interference, in this paper, the time-frequency two-dimensional (TFTD) partial Hamming correlation (PHC) properties of wide-gap frequency-hopping sequences (WGFHSs) with frequency shift are discussed. A bound on the maximum TFTD partial Hamming auto-correlation (PHAC) and two bounds on the maximum TFTD PHC of WGFHSs are got. Li-Fan-Yang bounds are the particular cases of new bounds for frequency shift is zero.

The low-hit-zone (LHZ) frequency hopping sequence (FHS) sets are widely applicable in quasi-synchronous frequency hopping multiple-access (QS-FHMA) systems. In order to reduce mutual interference (MI) in the zone around the signal origin between different users, we recommend the LHZ FHS set instead of the conventional FHS set. In this letter, we propose a design of LHZ FHS sets via interleaving techniques. The obtained sequences can be confirmed that they are near-optimal in relation to the Peng-Fan-Lee bound.

Laser Doppler Vibrometers (LDVs) enable the acquisition of remote speech signals by measuring small-scale vibrations around a target. They are now widely used in the fields of information acquisition and national security. However, in remote speech detection, the coherent measurement signal is subject to environmental noise, making detecting and reconstructing speech signals challenging. To improve the detection distance and speech quality, this paper proposes a highly accurate real-time speech measurement method that can reconstruct speech from noisy coherent signals. First, the I/Q demodulation and arctangent phase discrimination are used to extract the phase transformation caused by the acoustic vibration from coherent signals. Then, an innovative smoothness criterion and a novel phase difference-based dynamic bilateral compensation phase unwrapping algorithm are used to remove any ambiguity caused by the arctangent phase discrimination in the previous step. This important innovation results in the highly accurate detection of phase jumps. After this, a further innovation is used to enhance the reconstructed speech by applying an improved waveform-based linear prediction coding method, together with adaptive spectral subtraction. This removes any impulsive or background noise. The accuracy and performance of the proposed method were validated by conducting extensive simulations and comparisons with existing techniques. The results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the measurement of speech and the quality of reconstructed speech signals. The viability of the method was further assessed by undertaking a physical experiment, where LDV equipment was used to measure speech at a distance of 310m in an outdoor environment. The intelligibility rate for the reconstructed speech exceeded 95%, confirming the effectiveness and superiority of the method for long-distance laser speech measurement.

Frequency-hopping sequence (FHS) sets with low-hit-zone (LZH) can be well applied in quasi-synchronous (QS) frequency-hopping multiple-access (FHMA) systems to reduce the mutual interference among different users. On the other hand, LHZ-FHS sets with wide-gap (WG) property can effectively resist the broadband blocking interference, the single frequency narrowband interference, the multipath fading and the tracking interference. In this letter, a new family of WG-LHZ-FHS sets is constructed. Besides, these new WG-LHZ-FHS sets possess optimal average periodic Hamming correlation (APHC) properties.
