The relay channel is the common approach to cooperative communication. Quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check (QC-LDPC) code design for the relay channel is important to cooperative communication. This paper proposes a bilayer QC-LDPC code design scheme for the relay channel. Combined with the bilayer graphical code structure, an improved Chinese remainder theorem (CRT) method, the Biff-CRT method is presented. For the proposed method we introduce a finite field approach. The good performance of the finite field based QC-LDPC code can improve the performance of its corresponding objective QC-LDPC code in the proposed scheme. We construct the FF code and the FA code by the Biff-CRT method. The FF code and the FA code are both named as their two component codes. For the FF code, the two component code are both finite field based QC-LDPC codes. For the FA code, one of the component codes is the finite field based QC-LDPC code and the other is the array code. For the existing CRT method, the shortened array code and the array code are usually used as the component codes to construct the SA code. The exponent matrices of FF code, FA code and SA code are given both for the overall graph and the lower graph. Bit error rate (BER) simulation results indicate that the proposed FF code and FA code are superior to the SA code both at the relay node and the destination node. In addition, the theoretical limit and the BER of the bilayer irregular LDPC code are also given to compare with the BER of the proposed QC-LDPC codes. Moreover, the proposed Biff-CRT method is flexible, easy to implement and effective for constructing the QC-LDPC codes for the relay channel, and it is attractive for being used in the future cooperative communication systems.

This paper investigates open-loop Stackelberg games for a class of stochastic systems with multiple players. First, the necessary conditions for the existence of an open-loop Stackelberg strategy set are established using the stochastic maximum principle. Such conditions can be represented as solvability conditions for cross-coupled forward-backward stochastic differential equations (CFBSDEs). Second, in order to obtain the open-loop strategy set, a computational algorithm based on a four-step scheme is developed. A numerical example is then demonstrated to show the validity of the proposed method.

This letter investigates the problem of distributed channel selection in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) with heterogeneous spectrum opportunities. Firstly, we formulate this problem as a local congestion game, which is proved to be an exact potential game. Then, we propose a spatial best response dynamic (SBRD) to rapidly achieve Nash equilibrium via local information exchange. Moreover, the potential function of the game reflects the network collision level and can be used to achieve higher throughput.

Measurement matrix construction is critically important to signal sampling and reconstruction for compressed sensing. From a practical point of view, deterministic construction of the measurement matrix is better than random construction. In this paper, we propose a novel deterministic method to construct a measurement matrix for compressed sensing, CS-FF (compressed sensing-finite field) algorithm. For this proposed algorithm, the constructed measurement matrix is from the finite field Quasi-cyclic Low Density Parity Check (QC-LDPC) code and thus it has quasi-cyclic structure. Furthermore, we construct three groups of measurement matrices. The first group matrices are the proposed matrix and other matrices including deterministic construction matrices and random construction matrices. The other two group matrices are both constructed by our method. We compare the recovery performance of these matrices. Simulation results demonstrate that the recovery performance of our matrix is superior to that of the other matrices. In addition, simulation results show that the compression ratio is an important parameter to analyse and predict the recovery performance of the proposed measurement matrix. Moreover, these matrices have less storage requirement than that of a random one, and they achieve a better trade-off between complexity and performance. Therefore, from practical perspective, the proposed scheme is hardware friendly and easily implemented, and it is suitable to compressed sensing for its quasi-cyclic structure and good recovery performance.

This letter proposes a novel connected dominanting set based decentralized cooperative spectrum sensing algorithm for cognitive radio networks. It is analytically shown that the proposed algorithm distributively converges to the average consensus as that of traditional distributed consensus algorithm, while reducing both the convergence time and message complexity significantly.
