  • Efficient Multi-Scale Feature Fusion for Image Manipulation Detection

    Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) has made extraordinary progress in image classification tasks. However, it is less effective to use CNN directly to detect image manipulation. To address this problem, we propose an image filtering layer and a multi-scale feature fusion module which can guide the model more accurately and effectively to perform image manipulation detection. Through a series of experiments, it is shown that our model achieves improvements on image manipulation detection compared with the previous researches.

  • Novel Compact High-Pass Filter with Sharp Attenuation Slope Using Cross-Coupling in the Multi-Layer Structure

    A planar high-pass filter (HPF) by using cross-couplings in multi-layer structure is proposed in this paper. The HPF consists of parallel plate and gap type capacitors and inductor lines on the bottom conductor. The one block of the HPF has a ladder T-section in the bridge T configuration. The one block HPF is, thus, coarsely designed in the manner of the proto-type HPF and the performance is optimized by circuit simulator. With the gap capacitor adjusted the proposed HPF illustrates the steep slope characteristics near the cut-off frequency by the attenuation pole. In order to improve the stopband performance, the cascaded two block HPF is examined. Its measured results show the good agreement with the simulated ones giving the second attenuation pole by an inductive cross-coupling.

  • Input-Feedforward Two-Path Band-Pass Delta-Sigma Modulator Based on Horizontal or Vertical Opamp Sharing Technique

    In this paper, horizontal (where an opamp is shared in two adjacent stages) and vertical (where an opamp is shared across two paths) opamp sharing techniques for a two-path band-pass (BP) ΔΣ modulator are described, and input-feedforward two-path fourth-order BP ΔΣ modulators that have only two opamps are proposed. The proposed modulators are based on the horizontal or vertical opamp sharing technique. They can be realized with both a summation circuit using a switched capacitor (SC) network and a second-order high-pass filter (HPF) with a horizontal shared opamp or a double-sampling first-order HPF with a vertical shared opamp, which are based on an SC first-order HPF with an opamp. These techniques can reduce the number of opamps with no additional component and the chip area as well as realize lower power consumption.

    This paper introduces a way to realize high-pass, band-stop and all-pass transfer functions using two-integrator loop structure consisting of loss-less and lossy integrators. The basic circuit configuration is constructed with five Operational Transconductance Amplifiers (OTAs) and two grounded capacitors. It is shown that the circuit can realize their circuit transfer functions by choosing the input terminals, and that the circuit parameters can also be independently set by the transconductance gains with the proportional block. Although the basic circuit configuration has been known, it seems that the feature for realizing the high-pass, the band-stop and the all-pass transfer functions makes the structure more attractive and useful. An example is given together with simulated results by PSPICE.
