Pseudorandom sequences with low autocorrelation magnitude play important roles in various environments. Let N be a prime with N=Mf+1, where M and f are positive integers. A new method to construct M-sequences of period 4N is given. We show that these new sequences have low autocorrelation magnitude.

An uncorrelated asymmetric ZCZ (UA-ZCZ) sequence set is a special version of an asymmetric ZCZ (A-ZCZ) sequence set, which contains multiple subsets and each subset is a typical ZCZ sequence set. One of the most important properties of UA-ZCZ sequnence set is that two arbitrary sequences from different sequence subsets are uncorrelated sequences, whose cross-correlation function (CCF) is zeros at all shifts. Based on interleaved technique and an uncorrelated sequence set, a new UA-ZCZ sequence set is obtained via interleaving a perfect sequence. The uncorrelated property of the UA-ZCZ sequence sets is expected to be useful for avoiding inter-cell interference of QS-CDMA systems.

This paper proposes a construction method of binary Z-periodic complementary sequence set (Z-PCSs) based on binary aperiodic complementary sequence pair (Golay pair) and interleaved technique. The constructed set is optimal or almost optimal with respect to the theoretical bound in different conditons. The set can be used in multi-carrier code division multiple access communication systems. The designed sequence has periodic complementary characteristics, which lead to a strong ability to resist multi-path interference and multiple access interference.

For frequency hopping spread spectrum communication systems, the average Hamming correlation (AHC) among frequency hopping sequences (FHSs) is an important performance indicator. In this letter, a sufficient and necessary condition for a set of FHSs with optimal AHC is given. Based on interleaved technique, a new construction for optimal AHC FHS sets is also proposed, which generalizes the construction of Chung and Yang. Several optimal AHC FHS sets with more flexible parameters not covered in the literature are obtained by the new construction, which are summarized in Table 1.

In this paper, we constructed a class of low correlation zone sequence sets derived from the interleaved technique and DFT matrices. When p is a prime such that p > 3, p-ary LCZ sequence sets with parameters LCZ(pn-1,pm-1,(pn-1)/(pm-1),1) are constructed based on a DFT matrix with order pp, which is optimal with respect to the Tang-Fan-Matsufuji bound. When p is a prime such that p ≥ 2, pk-ary LCZ sequence sets with parameters LCZ(pn-1,pk-1,(pn-1)/(pk-1),1) are constructed based on a DFT matrix with order pkpk, which is also optimal. These sequence sets are useful in certain quasi-synchronous code-division mutiple access (QS-CDMA) communication systems.
