Several applications for 3-D visualization require dense detection of correspondence for displacement estimation among heterogeneous multi-view images. Due to differences in resolution or sampling density and field of view in the images, estimation of dense displacement is not straight forward. Therefore, we propose a scale invariant polynomial expansion method that can estimate dense displacement between two heterogeneous views. Evaluation on heterogeneous images verifies accuracy of our approach.
A new approach for solution of the Tensor-Volume Integral Equation (TVIE) using Galerkin-based moment method (MoM) for three-dimensional dielectric bodies is proposed. Two problems of plane wave scattering by a dielectric sphere and a thin-wire antenna in close proximity to a dielectric body are investigated. In both cases, cubic modeling is applied and a combination of entire-domain and sub-domain basis functions, including three-dimensional polynomial functions with different degrees is utilized for field expansion inside dielectric bodies. Power polynomial is adopted for this purpose and its property is discussed over the proposed mixed-domain MoM formulation. Numerical examples show that based on the proposed method, a relative fast algorithm and suitable accuracy are achieved compared with conventional MoM. The accuracy of the proposed method is verified by comparing it with the Mie theory, conventional MoM and the FDTD method.

A polynomial expansion linear detector (PELD) based turbo receiver is proposed for single-carrier zero-padding block transmission (ZP-SCBT) systems over the single-input single-output (SISO) and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) frequency selective channels. The performance is compared with the minimum mean square error (MMSE) and match filter (MF) based turbo receivers. It is shown that the PELD-based turbo receiver provides a good trade-off between performance and complexity compared with the other two alternatives.
