Gaussian integer has a potential to enhance the safety of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) on system under the condition fixing bit length of integral and floating point types, in viewpoint of the order of a finite field. However, there seems to have been no algorithm which makes Gaussian integer ECC safer under the condition. We present the algorithm to enhance the safety of ECC under the condition. Then, we confirm our Gaussian integer ECC is safer in viewpoint of the order of finite field than rational integer ECC or Gaussian integer ECC of naive methods under the condition.

This paper presents a method for designing discrete-time adaptive pole placer to unknown-order plants with disturbance. Since pole placement is inherently free from the problems on existence of nonminimum phase zeros and uncertainty of dead-time of plant, the method can be applied to nonminimum phase, unknown-dead-time, unknown-order plants with disturbance. It takes indirect approach and is characterized by new algorithms for estimating plant parameters from input, output and determing controller parameters based on the estimates, which are intended to be shown in detail.

This paper proposes a directive antenna diversity reception scheme for an adaptive modulation/time division multiple access (TDMA)/time division duplex (TDD) system to achieve high quality, high bit rate and high spectral efficient data transmission in high mobility land mobile communication environments. In mobile stations, a directive antenna is applied to equivalently reduce the observed variation speed of the fading channel. At each branch, the offset frequency (foff) and foff-canceled fading variation are estimated to improve accuracy of the propagation path characteristics estimation even in high maximum Doppler frequency (fd) environments. Computer simulation confirms that the proposed scheme can achieve successful variable rate transmission in fast fading environments.

In order to reduce the number of bus conflicts, a multiple bus connection and clustering of multiprocessor system have been proposed. In this paper throughputs of these two types of multiprocessor systems are investigated numerically in some detail.

Amorphous silicon thin film transistors(a-Si TFTs) with a channel-etched structure were fabricated. The key technologies to realize these simple-process TFTs were 1) fabricating data lines and pixel electrodes of indium tin oxide(ITO); 2) carrying out tapered dry etching of plural layers of the a-Si and gate insulator silicon nitide; and 3) forming silicide layer to reduce the contact resistance between the phosphorousdoped a-Si and ITO. Excellent image quality, with a high contrast ratio of more than 100: 1, was obtained for video graphic array(VGA) mode TFT-LCDs using a dot inversion driving method. Furthermore, the transmission distribution was uniform with less than a 4.5% deviation on the whole display area although the ITO data line resistances were as large as 120 kΩ per line.
