We analyze the connectivity of simulation ad hoc networks, which use random mobility models. Based on the theorem of minimum degree, the study of connectivity probability is converted into an analysis of the probability of minimum node degree. Detailed numerical analyses are performed for three mobility models: random waypoint model, random direction model, and random walk model. For each model, the connectivity probability is calculated and its relations with the communication range r and the node number n are illustrated. Results of the analyses show that with the same network settings, the connectivity performance decreases in the following order: random walk model, random direction model, and random waypoint model. This is because of the non-uniform node distribution in the last two models. Our work can be used by researchers to choose, modify, or apply a reasonable mobility model for network simulations.

A novel and efficient coding method is proposed to improve person re-identification in the XQDA subspace. Traditional CRC (Collaborative Representation based Classification) conducts independent dictionary coding for each image and can not guarantee improved results over conventional euclidian distance. In this letter, however, a specific model is separately constructed for each probe image and each gallery image, i.e. in probe-galley pairwise manner. The proposed pairwise-specific CRC method can excavate extra discriminative information by enforcing a similarity item to pull similar sample-pairs closer. The approach has been evaluated against current methods on two benchmark datasets, achieving considerable improvement and outstanding performance.

In this letter, based on orthogonal Golay sequence sets and orthogonal matrices, general constructions of zero correlation zone (ZCZ) aperiodic complementary sequence (ZACS) sets are proposed. The resultant ZACSs have column sequence peak-to-mean envelop power ratio (PMEPR) of at most 2, and the parameters of the sequence sets are optimal with respect to the theoretical bound. The novel ZACS sets are suitable for approximately synchronized multi-carrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) communication systems.

The transfer distance of the wireless power transfer (WPT) system with relay coil is longer, so this technology have a better practical perspective. But the location of the relay coil has a great impact on the transmission efficiency of the WPT system, and it is not easy to analyze. In order to research the influence law of the relay coil location on the transmission efficiency and obtain the optimal location, the paper firstly proposes the concept of relay coil location factor. And based on the location factor, a novel method for studying the influence of the relay coil location on the transmission efficiency is proposed. First, the mathematical model between the transmission efficiency and the location factor is built. Next, considering the transfer distance, coil radius, coil turns and load resistance, a lot of simulations are carried out to analyze the influence of the location factor on the transmission efficiency, respectively. The influence law and the optimal location factor were obtained with different parameters. Finally, a WPT system with relay coil was built for experiments. And the experiment results verify that the theoretical analysis is correct and the proposed method can simplify the analysis progress of the influence of relay coil location on the transmission efficiency. Moreover, the proposed method and the research conclusions can provide guidance for designing the multiple coils structure WPT system.
