This paper first introduces the structure of a shipboard equipment control cabinet and the preliminary design of electromagnetic shielding, then introduces the principle of low-frequency magnetic field shielding, and uses silicon steel sheet to shield the low-frequency magnetic field of shipboard equipment control equipment. Based on ANSYS Maxwell simulation software, the low-frequency magnetic field radiation emission of the equipment's conducted harmonic peak frequency point is simulated. Finally, according to MIL-STD-461G test standard, the low-frequency magnetic field radiation emission test is carried out, which meets the limit requirements of the standard. The low-frequency magnetic field shielding technology has practical value. The low-frequency magnetic field radiation emission simulation based on ANSYS Maxwell proposed in this paper is a useful attempt for the quantitative simulation of radiation emission.

This paper introduces the working principle of continuous wave (CW) illuminator and selects the test space by developing the wave impedance selection algorithm for the CW illuminator. For the vertical polarization and the horizontal polarization of CW illuminator, the law of wave impedance distribution after loading is analyzed and the influence of loading distribution on test space selection is studied. The selection principle of wave impedance based on incident field or total field at the monitoring point is analyzed.

An underdetermined direction of arrival estimation method based on signal sparsity is proposed when independent and coherent signals coexist. Firstly, the estimate of the mixing matrix of the impinging signals is obtained by clustering the single source points which are detected by the ratio of time-frequency transforms of the received signals. Then, each column vector of the mixing matrix is processed by exploiting the forward and backward vectors in turn to obtain the directions of arrival of all signals. The number of independent signals and coherent signal groups that can be estimated by the proposed method can be greater than the number of sensors. The validity of the method is demonstrated by simulations.

This paper presents a method combining array signal processing and adaptive noise cancellation to suppress unwanted ambient interferences in in situ measurement of radiated emissions of equipment. First, the signals received by the antenna array are processed to form a main data channel and an auxiliary data channel. The main channel contains the radiated emissions of the equipment under test and the attenuated ambient interferences. The auxiliary channel only contains the attenuated ambient interferences. Then, the adaptive noise cancellation technique is used to suppress the ambient interferences based on the correlation of the interferences in the main and auxiliary channels. The proposed method overcomes the problem that the ambient interferences in the two channels of the virtual chamber method are not correlated, and realizes the suppression of multi-source ambient noises in the use of fewer array elements. The results of simulation and experiment show that the proposed method can effectively extract radiated emissions of the equipment under test in complex electromagnetic environment. Finally, discussions on the effect of the beam width of the main channel and the generalization of the proposed method to three dimensionally distributed signals are addressed.

A low frequency electric field probe that integrates data acquisition and storage is developed in this paper. An electric small monopole antenna printed on the circuit board is used as the receiving antenna; the rear end of the monopole antenna is connected to the integral circuit to achieve the flat frequency response; the logarithmic detection method is applied to obtain a high measurement dynamic range. In addition, a Microprogrammed Control Unit is set inside to realize data acquisition and storage. The size of the probe developed is not exceeding 20 mm × 20 mm × 30 mm. The field strength 0.2 V/m ~ 261 V/m can be measured in the frequency range of 500 Hz ~ 10 MHz, achieving a dynamic range over 62 dB. It is suitable for low frequency electric field strength measurement and shielding effectiveness test of small shield.

This paper proposes a method in calculating the field distribution of the cross section in a transverse electromagnetic (TEM) cell based on the method of finite difference. Besides, E-field uniformity of the cross section is analyzed with the calculation results and the measured field strength. Analysis indicates that theoretical calculation via method proposed in this paper can guide the setup of E-field probes to some extent when it comes to the E-field uniformity analysis in a TEM cell.

This paper analyzes the typical functions of digital control circuit and its function modules, and develops a set of digital control circuit equipment based on Advanced RISC Machines (ARM) with typical function modules, including principle design, interference injection trace design, function design, and study the failure mode and threshold of typical function modules. Based on continuous wave (CW) and pulse wave, the direct power injection (DPI) method is used to test the conduction immunity of the digital control circuit, and the failure mode and sensitivity threshold of the digital control circuit are quantitatively obtained. This method can provide experimental verification for the immunity ability of the digital control circuit to different electromagnetic interference.
