In everyday life, a situation often occurs wherein two or more persons with different personal schedules must determine a single job schedule. The authors focus on the practical concept of rent and loan and propose a scheduling system. This system generates a schedule that automatically coordinates with a state involving minimum rent and loan. They also propose a method that employs the analytic network process (ANP) for setting individual priorities based on the rent and loan information. Furthermore, the authors implement the proposed system as a simulation system and verify whether it generates a fair schedule by computing the sum of the rent and loan of different individuals. The result shows that in comparison with human scheduling, the proposed method generates a fairer schedule by computing the rent and loan of each individual.

In label recognition based on optical correlation processing, to completely discriminate a 4-bit target optical code from all types of 4-bit nontarget ones, we propose a novel label recognition method using both optical time-gating and the designed label recognition filter. We experimentally demonstrate that the intensities of correlation signals of 4-bit similar optical codes can be suppressed by the designed label recognition filter and that only the correlation signal of a 4-bit target optical code can be detected by extraction with optical time-gating. The optical time-gating is realized by using organic nonlinear optical crystal: 2-adamantylamino-5-nitropyridine (AANP).

This paper proposes and performs the primary feasibility evaluation on Flow Attribute Notification Protocol (FANP), which is a protocol between neighbor CSR (Cell Switch Router) nodes for the management of cut-through packet forwarding, in order to apply label switching paradigm. In cut-through packet forwarding with label switching, a router doesn't have to perform conventional IP packet processing for the received packets. FANP indicates the mapping information between a data-link connection and a packet flow to the neighbor node. FANP defines two key procedures, i. e. , one is the VCID Notification Procedure, and the other is the Flow-ID Notification Procedure. The VCID Notification Procedure lets the label switching paradigm over the label swapped data-link, such as ATM link, though the other label switch architecture can not work over the label swapped data-link. The primary evaluation of FANP has been performed using the prototype system and with the actual packet statistics. The result shows that, with a corporate backbone level, the label switch router system with FANP would work well.
