Accurate fish detection is of great significance in aquaculture. However, the non-uniform strong reflection in aquaculture ponds will affect the precision of fish detection. This paper combines YOLOv4 and CVAE to accurately detect fishes in the image with non-uniform strong reflection, in which the reflection in the image is removed at first and then the reflection-removed image is provided for fish detecting. Firstly, the improved YOLOv4 is applied to detect and mask the strong reflective region, to locate and label the reflective region for the subsequent reflection removal. Then, CVAE is combined with the improved YOLOv4 for inferring the priori distribution of the Reflection region and restoring the Reflection region by the distribution so that the reflection can be removed. For further improving the quality of the reflection-removed images, the adversarial learning is appended to CVAE. Finally, YOLOV4 is used to detect fishes in the high quality image. In addition, a new image dataset of pond cultured takifugu rubripes is constructed,, which includes 1000 images with fishes annotated manually, also a synthetic dataset including 2000 images with strong reflection is created and merged with the generated dataset for training and verifying the robustness of the proposed method. Comprehensive experiments are performed to compare the proposed method with the state-of-the-art fish detecting methods without reflection removal on the generated dataset. The results show that the fish detecting precision and recall of the proposed method are improved by 2.7% and 2.4% respectively.
Bessel beams are a family of diffraction-free beams. They have many unique properties and prospective applications. Much attention has been focused to this subject in optics. Recently, the studies of such beams at mm- and submm- wavebands have been carried out in our group. The investigation results, including their theories, generation, propagation and potential applications, are presented in this paper.

In this letter, we investigate the physical layer security in multi-user multi-relay networks, where each relay is not merely a traditional helper, but at the same time, can become a potential eavesdropper. We first propose an efficient low-complexity user and relay selection scheme to significantly reduce the amount of channel estimation as well as the amount of potential links for comparison. For the proposed scheme, we derive the closed-form expression for the lower bound of ergodic secrecy rate (ESR) to evaluate the system secrecy performance. Simulation results are provided to verify the validity of our expressions and demonstrate how the ESR scales with the number of users and relays.

The compound element pseudo-transient analysis (PTA) algorithm is an effective practical method for finding the DC operating point when the Newton-Raphson method fails. It is able to effectively prevent from the oscillation problems compared with conventional PTA algorithms. In this paper, an effective SPICE3 implementation method for the compound element PTA algorithm is proposed. It has the characteristic of not expanding the Jacobian matrix and not changing the Jacobian matrix structure when the pseudo-transient numerical simulation is being done. Thus a high simulation efficiency is guaranteed. The ability of the proposed SPICE3 implementation to avoid the oscillation problems and the simulation efficiency are demonstrated by examples.

Alamouti proposed a very attractive transmit diversity technique which ensures orthogonality across two transmit antennas. This technique alone, however, offers no coding gain. In this work, powerful binary turbo codes are combined with Alamouti's diversity technique to achieve a coding gain on top of the diversity gain. Performance analysis on the combined scheme is presented and optimum turbo codes with transmit diversity on fading channels are proposed. Simulation results are shown to illustrate the improvement this scheme can offer.

This letter proposes recursive space-time TCM with two transmit antennas. A recursive component code is crucial in a serial or parallel concatenation scheme. These codes were obtained through computer search and their performance was simulated and compared with previously known codes.

Accurate estimating or measuring the intake manifold absolute pressure plays an important role in automobile engine control. In order to achieve the real-time estimation of the absolute pressure, the high accuracy and high speed processing ability are required for automobile engine control systems. Therefore, in this paper, an analog method is discussed and a fully integrated analog circuit is proposed to simulate automobile intake systems. Furthermore, a novel behavioral macromodeling is proposed for the analog circuit design. With the analog circuit, the intake manifold absolute pressure, which plays an important role for the effective automobile engine control, can be accurately estimated or measured in real time.

Si-based photonic materials and devices, including SiGe/Si quantum structures, SOI and InGaAs bonded on Si, PL of Si nanocrystals, SOI photonic crystal filter, Si based RCE (Resonant Cavity Enhanced) photodiodes, SOI TO (thermai-optical) switch matrix were investigated in Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The main results in recent years are presented in the paper. The mechanism of PL from Si NCs embedded in SiO2 matrix was studied, a greater contribution of the interface state recombination (PL peak in 850~900 nm) is associated with larger Si NCs and higher interface state density. Ge dots with density of order of 1011 cm-2 were obtained by UHV/CVD growth and 193 nm excimer laser annealing. SOI photonic crystal filter with resonant wavelength of 1598 nm and Q factor of 1140 was designed and made. Si based hybrid InGaAs RCE PD with η of 34.4% and FWHM of 27 nm were achieved by MOCVD growth and bonding technology between InGaAs epitaxial and Si wafers. A 1616 SOI optical switch matrix were designed and made. A new current driving circuit was used to improve the response speed of a 44 SOI rearrangeable nonblocking TO switch matrix, rising and falling time is 970 and 750 ns, respectively.

The modeling of gate delays has always been one of the most difficult and market-sensitive works. In submicron designs, the second-order effects such as the input-to-output coupling capacitance have a significant influence on gate delay as shown in this paper. However, the accurate analysis of the input-to-output coupling capacitance effect has not been presented in previous research. In this paper, an analytical model for the influence of the input-to-output coupling capacitance on CMOS inverter delay is proposed, in which a novel algorithm for computing overshooting time is given. Experimental results show good agreement with Spice simulations.

The pseudo-transient method is discussed in this paper as one of practical methods to find DC operating points of nonlinear circuits when the Newton-Raphson method fails. The mathematical description for this method is presented and an effective pseudo-transient algorithm utilizing compound pseudo-elements is proposed. Numerical examples are demonstrated to prove that our algorithm is able to avoid the oscillation problems effectively and also improve the simulation efficiency.
